Company's Move..

Part of the email sent out by our MD on 1st May :
"Finally, the move...it is now just over a month to go before we leave Temasek Tower. Many of you are involved in making sure this happens seamlessly, thank you. My hope, and the current plan, is that Friday the 30th of May will be a half day for us. And on Monday the 2nd of June we all start the day at 9:00am our new place. " blah blah blah.............
We are moving!!! moving to our new office premises soon..Having half hearted feeling for the move..Half of me wish to move soon, cos its nearer to my house..no more the need of changing train & walking tat long underpass from NEL (North East Line) to EWL(East West Line)..That underpass walk can be super irritating esp during the peak hrs in the morning & evening.. & the fact that the new office is nearer to my house will definetely shorten the travel time to office. Yippee!! =) & becos we r kind of out of Shenton way..that also means that train & mrt stn will not be super duper pack during peak hours.. hmmmm... =)
yet part of me she bu de move out of tanjong pagar..1stly, there are lotsa good food around here..Most importantly lotsa snack that are nice..e.g Muffins, egg tarts, Soon kueh..so much to list..u name it,t.pagar shld have it!! haha..2ndly,thou i'm sitting in a corner in the current office nw.. but at least my clique of colleagues are just a stone's throw from me..i only gota stand up & turn behind..Lee peh peh is behind me..Just saw the new seating arrangement for the new office..I'm so far frm the CHIPMUNKS (I gave the 3 clique colleagues the nickname..haha,.).. & worst thing is my place is just infront of the exit door to toilet..Convinient for me thou, but will also mean that the whole office pple will pass by me to the toilet.. I hate it!! no PRIVACY!!
Besides most of my frens work in T.pagar .. FInding frens for lunch is easy.. Now as far as I know, only suat is in clarke quay & eating in clarke quay is expensive..No more snacks store around, for cheap food gota walk long distance.. GOSH!! even The Central is not really near if we r taking consideration of walking under the the hot sun during lunch time. haha... Shall see hw the life in new office soon...

Finally we've settle dwn at the new office at Riverside point. .today is the 2nd day here.. haha.. lotsa things to complain!! b4 my complain starts..sth to be happy with.I'm free frm the crowd boarding & alighting train at Outram & t.pagar stn.. Crowd at clarke quay is definietly so much smaller.. Guess so long i'm out of the underpass walk frm outram to EWL, i'm happy enuf.. haha. =)
Yes, as what was shown on the flr plan earlier.. my place was directly infront of the exit door to toilet.. The door let out an annoying BEEP BEEP sound when it was open. Imagine the whole day, the beeping sound kind of goes off non stop.. its reali getting on my nerve.. Adding to the annoying noise polution, i seems to be like the door opener too.. the workers have no access card, so since i was so near the door.. dey will come to me when they need to go out.. whole day so many pple coming & gg out.. wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...haha.. there was tis time, i was real bad.. but i'm just so sick of the beep beep & opening the door that tis guy was stuck outside.. knocking on the door hoping s.one will open..& i pretended not to hear.. okay okay, i was bad, i admit but eventually i gave in..cos tat poor chap is lock outside & no one is helping..so i goet up & open.. can imagine hw annoying i m the whole day.. with me here trying to rush on a stressful project & having slight tummy pain & there the .. the day just did not go well...haha...
oh ya, not forgeting to mention the aircon in the office..they tot dey r rearing polor bears!! haha.. it was damn damn cold.. overheard tat dey on the central & the office aircon together.. so cold tat my head hurts!! grrrrrrrrrrrrr....
For lunch, we manage to find some coffeeshops after stupidly barging into Liang court thinking that ther are foodcourts only to be told there ARENT.. Bump into another colleague, he told us abt the coffeeshops further off frm UE sq.. made our way there.. Distance is pretty far, had a plate of chicken rice..tink it only fill half of my stomach..mayb its becos of the coldnes(We all were so hungry tat day...).. i dun feel full at all .. wahahahah.. POlAr Ate Lot , dun they?!! hahaha...
Oh ya, thou we no longer have the luxury of enjoying the scenary frm 38th flr (temesek tower). but i realise that clarke quay scenary is beautiful too..I have almost forgotten that I love siting by the side of SG river. Used to do that years back, been a real long time since i last sat there... hmmmmm.. anyway, the scenary is another consolation prize or me apart frm so many miserable stuffs..haha. i love & njoy the scenary here.. shall take some pics of the open concept office & scenary soon.. =)
